PGP Whole Disk Encryption Adding and Deleting Users to an Encrypted Disk
The user who originally encrypted a disk may add additional users, who can boot the system with their own BlazerID. This is useful in environments where a system, such as a notebook, is shared among multiple users and the system stores sensitive data on it.
- On the PGP Desktop main screen, click the Disk Control box.
- Select the encrypted disk you which to add the user to. If you want to grant full access, select the computer’s hard drive; when prompted to login at startup, the user will be able to access any of the encrypted drives on the computer.
- Click the Create User button, enter your passphrase and click OK.
- In the Protection Method screen, select Passphrase.
- Enter a Username for the user. Click Next.
- The Passphrase Assignment screen will appear; enter a unique passphrase in the Passphrase and Confirmation fields.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
To delete a user, go to the User Access list and select the username. Click Delete User. Enter the passphrase and click OK.
