Microsoft Campus Agreement - Students:

For the Microsoft Campus Agreement the following items are covered for all full and part time students:

1.      Microsoft Campus Desktop (consisting of Office and Windows Upgrade)

§     Office 2007 Business for Windows includes: Access, Excel, InfoPath, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word.  Note: Office 2007 Business does not include One Note and Groove.

§    Office for Mac 2004 Professional includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage, Virtual PC for Mac.

§    Windows Upgrade requires that a full operating system already be licensed on the system. Only a right to upgrade is included here.  Students should note that this is a limited license that requires removal of the upgraded operating system when the student graduates or is no longer a student of the University.  Careful consideration should be given prior to utilizing this upgrade option as removal of an upgrade may pose significant risk to the overall functionality of the student's system. With the release of Vista the Ultimate Version will be available for student purchase.

2.      FrontPage

3.      Visual Studio.net Professional

Students may install Office or Windows for their exclusive use on one system they own/lease with the following limitations:

§       Media for the install is available for a nominal fee through Barnes & Noble @ UAB Bookstore.  Students may not use the same media as provided to faculty/staff for installation of the applications on UAB owned equipment, but must use the specific media and license keys provided through the Bookstore.

§       Use of the software must be for the exclusive use of the student and must be deleted upon termination of the Campus Agreement or upon the student's leaving the University prior to graduation.

Students must sign a Student Use Acceptance Form at the time of license purchase at the Bookstore indicating their understanding and acceptance of the license rights. Click here to review the Acceptance Form.
