Expression of vesicular and excitatory amino acid transporters in the Old World monkey brain

Few studies have comprehensively evaluated the expression of glutamate transporters and their affiliated signaling molecules in the primate brain. Using in situ hybridization, I am surveying transcript expression of these transporters and their interacting proteins in the macaque brain.  These studies will permit comparison of expression patterns of different markers of glutamatergic circuits in the primate brain.
