How can I link to full text articles (create PURLs) in the library's databases?
You can link to full text articles in library databases by using PURLs, which stands for Persistent Uniform Resource Locator. A PURL allows you to directly link someone to a subscription-based resource like a journal article or online book both on or off campus by using our proxy server snippet (http://ezproxy3.lhl.uab.edu/login?url=). This snippet will authenticate UAB faculty, staff, students so they can access the resource remotely.
For more information on creating PURLs using LHL resources, check out this PDF. To create PURLs using Sterne resources. check out this PDF.
Please Ask a Librarian if you have any questions.
