March/April 1997RACHAEL K. ANDERSON
Rachael K. Anderson, Director of the Arizona Health Sciences Library, will
be the dedication speaker on May 2 at the Lister Hill Library dedication
ceremony. She has been Director of the Arizona Health Sciences Library
since January 1991. Ms. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard
College and an M.S. from Columbia University's School of Library Service.
She has directed the libraries of three medical schools. Prior to moving
to Arizona, she was at Columbia University where she was Director of the
Health Sciences Library from 1979 to 1991 and served as Acting Vice President
and University Librarian in 1982/83. From 1973 to 1979 Ms. Anderson was
director of the library at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Medical Center
in New York City. At the University of Arizona she is also an Associate
Director of the Telemedicine Program.
