May/June 1998New Interactive Education SoftwareCoronary Heart Disease is an interactive program designed from the disease stage approach and incorporating the vast store of medical illustrations in the Ciba Collection. With this software, students can learn the anatomy of the heart, the major risk factors for developing atherosclerosis, and how and when to perform coronary angioplasty and bypass surgery. Digital Anatomist: Interactive Brain Atlas is also an interactive program used for learning about neuroanatomy. Its primary purpose is to present anatomical images and allow the student to find out the names and shapes of the structures contained on them. It is a drill and quiz tool. Both packages are available on all library machines, except those dedicated to the library catalog. For more information contact the Information Desk. |
