In response to positive feedback from the recent trial, Lister Hill Library is happy to announce the acquisition of Exam Master - an online medical board preparation tool as a new resource.
The content of ExamMaster is mainly practice exam questions designed to simulate those on the USMLE and board certification exams. The purpose of this tool is to assist users in the self-assessment of their relative strengths and weaknesses in general topic areas. Use of ExamMaster is not intended to predict performance on the USMLE or on any exams that are part of any UAB curriculum.
To access Exam Master:
Go to http://www.lhl.uab.edu/8c/8.cgi?http://www.exammaster2.com/wdsentry/uab.htm
If you are off-campus, you will be asked for your BlazerID and password in order to access the website. Despite what the ExamMaster opening page says, do not bookmark the opening page on the ExamMaster site if you wish to use this resource remotely. You must start each time from one of the links on the UAB website that will authenticate you first.
At the website, you will need to register for a username and password with Exam Master. This is different from your BlazerID and password. It is a one-time process that will take about 3 minutes.
Once you enter Exam Master, click on “Create Exams.” Then click on “QuickStart Exams”. Below is a list of the QuickStart exams.
