UAB Discussion Book Dialogues To Be Held at LHL

This year the UAB Discussion Book Dialogues will be held on the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm (September 2009 to April 2010) in the Ireland Room on the third floor of Lister Hill Library. Discussion Book Dialogues supports the 2009 UAB Discussion Book, Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. Speakers present a range of personal and professional perspectives on issues relevant to the book, including health disparities, public policy on health, philanthropy, and America's role in the 21st century. The goal is not to push a particular agenda but to provide information to help everyone make more informed decisions about relevant issues. Discussion Book Dialogues are open to the campus community and general public. Snacks provided.
