New This Spring: Online Learning Opportunities through LHL!

Attention distance students, busy clinicians, and any Lister Hill Library users who prefer to learn in their pajamas: We have expanded our popular Express Training @ LHL classes by adding an online option for each session. Online sessions will be on Mondays, 3-4pm. Of course, we will continue to offer our in-person sessions on Thursdays, noon-1pm. Come learn how to use this web-based tool to create and manage a personal library of citations, insert those citations into a Word document, and format them in specific bibliographic styles. Please note: If you are a researcher or faculty member with a purchased copy of the desktop version of EndNote, you may wish to attend one of our EndNote software sessions.
Feb. 20	Google Scholar	Search the scholarly literature across multiple disciplines and sources. Learn to link to full text when available.
Feb. 27	Finding Full Text	Have a citation and want to get the full text of the article? Learn how to get full text using PubMed, UAB Article Linker, and ILLiad.
March 5	APA	Learn the basics of APA style as well as more complicated citation formats like e-journal articles, electronic book chapters, and web pages.

Please note: This session is for the desktop version of EndNote, which is NOT free to UAB students/employees. If you want to learn to use the version of EndNote that is free to UAB students/employees (EndNote Web), you should attend one of our EndNote Web sessions.
