What is a PURL and Why do I care?
A PURL allows you to directly link someone to a subscription based resource like a journal article or online book on or off campus by using our proxy server snippet (http://www.lhl.uab.edu/8c/8.cgi?). The snippet will authenticate UAB faculty, staff, students so they can access the resource remotely. For more information on creating PURLs using LHL resources check out this PDF
