Circulation Privileges

Circulation privileges (ability to check out books or audiovisuals) are available for the following groups of library users:

• All individuals with a valid UAB ID
• Individuals with valid ID from a reciprocating university
• Alabama state registered health professionals
• Members of the UAB Alumni Association, Friends of Lister Hill Library, Friends of Sterne Library, or Reynolds Associates.

Loan Period

All library borrowers are allowed a 28-day loan period for regular circulating materials.

Renewals

Two renewals are possible under the following conditions: (1) the item(s) have not been placed on hold, and (2) the item(s) are not overdue. To renew item(s):

• visit the Circulation Desk.
• call the Circulation Desk at 934-3306.

Overdue Fines

Fines for most items accrue at a rate of 25¢ per day per item. For further information, call (205) 934-3306.
