Payments and Insurance
The Dental Clinic operates on a Fee for Service basis. This means the Clinic will expect payment at the time of service. A monthly payment plan can be arranged, but it must be coordinated in advance by your Social Worker. Dental Insurance is accepted and will be filed by the Dental Clinic. Any required co-payments must be made at time of service. Please be aware that Medicaid and Medicare will not cover dental procedures.
An affordable monthly payment can be set up for everyone.
If you have a dental emergency, please call 934-3411 and ask for the Dental Resident On-Call.
The Dental Clinic exists as a result of the combined efforts of UAB’s Department of Medicine, the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry.
The 1917 Dental Clinic is one of the few service, teaching and research clinics of its kind in the United States.
