The Ray J. Defalque Award is awarded annually to an anesthesiology resident and is announced each year at the residents banquet. This award was established in 1999 and is given in honor of Dr. Ray Defalque who, before his retirement in 1999, was a steadfast advocate of resident education and was widely known for his skill in the administration of regional anesthesia.
