Biomarker test for rheumatoid arthritis proves effective in study (as reported by Bob Shepard, UAB News) Dr. Jeffrey Curtis, Associate Professor of Medicine and Scientist in the Comprehensive Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Autoimmunity Center, in collaboration with a UAB-led international research team, says that a blood test measuring 12 biomarkers for RA is a valid and potentially useful tool in managing the disease. These findings are reported in the June 2012 issue of Arthritis Care and Research (PMID22736476).
