McElderry This electrophysiology rotation is designed to provide the Cardiology Fellow with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of all common cardiac arrhythmias.

Patient Population

People with cardiac arrhythmias requiring invasive and/or noninvasive interventions

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Assessing cardiac arrhythmias using noninvasive methods
  • Evaluating patients before and after EP procedures
  • Implanting permanent pacemakers and Internal Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) devices
  • Assisting in a wide range of EP studies
  • Understanding the requirements of antiarrhythmic drug therapy
  • Participating inpatient arrhythmia consultations
