The Arrhythmia Consult Teaching Service is responsible for arrhythmia consultative services; it is staffed by an Electrophysiology Attending and a Cardiology Fellow, along with a team of Internal Medicine Residents and 4th year Medical Students.

Clinical Responsibilities

Organize the patient care activities of this service under the direct supervision of an assigned Cardiology faculty member. |

Essential Skills
|
Cardiology Fellows successfully completing this teaching service will be proficient in:
- The diagnosis and treatment of all common cardiac arrhythmias
- Inpatient and outpatient management of supraventricular tachyarrhythmias, ventricular tachyarrhythmias, bradyarrhythmias
- Programming & follow-up of temporary and permanent pacemakers
- Programming & follow-up of ICDs
- Interpretation of intracardiac electrograms
- Noninvasive assessment of cardiac arrhythmias, including Holter monitoring and transtelephonic monitoring
