	The UAB Catheterization Lab is staffed by interventional attendings performing diagnostic catheterizations, cardiac interventions, peripheral interventions, and cerebrovascular interventions. Cardiology Fellows assigned to the catheterization lab to perform diagnostic catheterizations and to assist in interventional cases.

Training	Performing and interpreting interventional procedures right and left heart catheterization coronary, graft and ventricular angiography hemodynamic assessment endomyocardial biopsies measurement of coronary pressure gradients and flow and performance and interpretation of IVUS Observing and understanding peripheral and cerebrovascular procedures renal angiography and intervention Interpreting intracoronary IVUS tracings coronary flow and pressure measurements (with and without vasodilator challenge) Pre- and post-procedure patient care pre-procedure evaluation (indications, patient selection) post-procedure follow-up (complications, continued care)

Research	Basic, translational, and clinical research focusing on device and therapeutics evaluation for both vascular and structural heart disease.
