The Cardiology Service at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC) is part of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease of the UAB Medical Center and Department of Medicine. It is the only such service in a Veterans Hospital in the State of Alabama, serving as a tertiary referral center for veterans with cardiac problems throughout Alabama. The primary goal of the UAB Cardiologists who provide this service is to is to deliver prompt, efficient, courteous, and above all, excellent medical care for all the patients referred to Cardiology at the VA Hospital.
