CDIB IT: Connect to the Phaser printer (Windows) |

(Note: the following directions are for Windows XP and Windows 7. Please

The Phaser is located in THT 934.

(2) Click on the link for the Windows Driver Installer. |

(3) Choose Save in the download options box. |
|
|
(4) Choose a convenient location to save this file, such as your Desktop, and click Save. The file will download to the selected location.

(5) Find the downloaded setup.exe file and double-click this icon. |
|
|
(6) When prompted with this Windows Security Warning, click Run. |
|
|
(7) Click Agree on the license agreement screen to continue. |

(8) The Installer will search for local printers (but not find any). |
|
|
(9) On the next screen, choose the third option: Enter Printer's IP address, DNS name, or UNC path.
Enter this IP address into the white box: 138.26.40.35
Do NOT click Install yet; click Options and go to the next step.

(10) On the Options screen, UNCHECK all five boxes on the bottom half of the screen. Leave the driver language set to English, and click OK.
Now, click Install.
(If you are prompted by a Windows Firewall warning at this step, click Unblock.)

(11) The printer driver will be installed on your system. |

(12) When you see this screen, the installation is complete. Be sure to UNCHECK the box labelled "Information Forwarding."
You may print a test page if you wish, by leaving that box checked, but you don't need to. Click Finish to close the installer.

(13) Finally, click Remind Me Later to close the registration dialog. |
