The Center for AIDS Research Community and Behavioral Science Core (CBSC) and the Development Core hold Specific Aims Workshops for developing and honing the specific aims page of investigator's upcoming grant applications. These half-day workshops are held twice a year around March and October. 

Targeting specific aims for R21 and R01 applications
(Other grant mechanisms are welcome for review.)

Typical Agenda:
8:45 – 9:00 Get breakfast/coffee
9:00 – 9:15 Welcome
9:15 – 9:45 Brief talk on tips for writing specific aims (See slides from last meeting to right)
9:45 – 11:15 Presentations by participants of their grant concept and initial specific aims (12 mins each + 8 mins for questions and feedback)
11:15 – 11:30 Break
11:30 – 12:30 One-on-One Consultations with facilitators
12:30 – 1:30 Networking Lunch
1:30 – 2:00 Brief feedback from participants and resource sharing/wrap-up
