The UAB Comprehensive Neuroscience Center will have a presence at the 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks:Alabama on Saturday, October 5th at Railroad Park.  Event times to be announced.  We will be sponsoring a tent with actvities for children organized by Lauren Libero, Lifespan and Developmental Psychology Program graduate student.  We also have a walk/fundraising team captained by Leah Pickett, a Nurse Practioner in the Department of Psychiatry.

CNC Participates in Autism Speaks Event  SPLASHWNFASTRU

The work of CNC faculty member Dr. Rajesh Kana and the Cogniton, Brain, and Autsim Laboratory were highlighted during the WALK NOW FOR AUSTISM SPEAKS event held at Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham on October 5, 2013.  A special thanks to Dr. Kana and Lauren Libero for the images on our NEUROSCIENCE TRADING CARDS provided to the community during the walk.

Neuroscience Postdoctoral Fellow Adam Funk created a team for the 2013 Annual MS Walk in Homewood Central Park on Saturday, April 13.  He was joined by CNC Faculty Member Kristina Visscher.  Together they manned the CNC & Civitan tent, sharing the UAB neurosciences with the community.

Neuroscience Theme graduate student Amy Nelson has a lot of passion.  A passion for science.  A passion for research.  And a passion for pumpkins. Amy's recent project benefiting Alzheimer's of Central Alabama‚Ķ. A pumpkin carving contest was held WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2012 on the UAB CAMPUS GREEN.
