This purpose of this group is to provide mentoring relationships among neuroscientist trainees and UAB faculty at all professional levels. This is a wonderful educational opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students as well as post-doctoral fellows seeking career resources and a support network. At the faculty level, we hope that this group will foster a support network as well as mentoring at all career levels. The goal of our meetings, which will initially take place once per semester, will be to further educational opportunities and career development for young female scientists interested in vocational areas from academia to industry, as well as provide guidance on how to juggle the balance of life, family, and career. For each of our meetings, we'll be inviting speakers to discuss the above topics as well as provide mentoring opportunities. If you are interested in attending our first organizational meeting this spring or would like to know more, please This email address is being protected from spambots.
