The UAB Department of Dermatology is pleased to offer Dermatopathology services through joint efforts between the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Pathology. Currently, our board certified Dermatopathologist is Dr. Aleodor Andea.

Numerous services are offered including H&E stains, special immunohistochemical markers, immunoflourescene, and cytology.

In addition, there is a Dermatopathology fellowship offered at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. This year's Dermatopathology Fellow is Zendee Elaba, M.D.

The faculty dermatologists and residents are integrally involved in day-to-day work with our division of dermatopathology in both clinical and teaching endeavors.
