Dr. Oparil was recognized for her outstanding contributions in Cardiology

Suzanne Oparil, M.D., professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular OparilDisease, recently was awarded the 2013 Distinguished Scientist Award (Translational Domain) by the American College of Cardiology in recognition of her major contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the field of cardiovascular disease.

She was presented the award during the 62nd Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology in San Francisco in March
