Yolanda Horton has been selected as the Department of Medicine Yo-EOMEmployee of the Month for November 2013!   She was notified this week by Jason Daniel, DOM Executive Administrator.   Yolanda is an Administrative Associate in the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Yolanda is renowned for her professionalism, her attention to detail, her ability to organize complex information and schedules, production of high-quality documents, and her timeliness in completing all her responsibilities.   This is coupled with a can-do spirit and a passion for helping others.  She constantly has a warm personality and wears a smile.  She encourages the residents and others to push through adversity.   During residency program interview season, Yolanda assists the diversity enrichment committee in reaching out to underrepresented minorities.  She turns the bus tour on interview day, a potentially boring experience, into a fond memory because of her captivating humor.  She has mapped out an efficient route to highlight all important parts of UAB and our city.  “Yo” goes the extra mile in more ways than one and is one of the outstanding employees that makes our department great!

Please join us in congratulating Yolanda for being selected as Department of Medicine Employee of the Month for November 2013!   The Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program will host a reception in her honor on December 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the West Pavilion Board Room.
