Mia Heard is May 2014 DOM Employee of the Month!

Mia Heard has been selected as the Department of Medicine Employee of the mia heard Month for May 2014! Mia (center) was notified by Jason Daniel, DOM Executive Administrator, and LaKisha Mack, DOM Operations Administrator. Mia is an Administrative Office Specialist III in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases.

Mia Heard is praised by the faculty for her efficiency, dependability, outstanding attention to detail, and high-quality work. Mia is known for her bright smile and positive approach to daily challenges. She handles multiple priorities and remains focused on ensuring patients get what they need and making the job of her physicians easier. Mia strongly believes in teamwork and offers a helping hand to co-workers anticipating needs and suggesting ways she can help. She is a shining example of what makes our Department great!

Dr. Anthony DiStasiAntonio Di Stasi, MD

Dr. Di Stasi is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapy Program Unit, where he performs both clinical and translational research activities. His primary research focus involves the pre-clinical validation of adoptive T cell immunotherapy strategies for hematologic malignancies.
