Dr. Redmond joined the DOPM faculty in 2011, which includes clinical practice in the Cooper Green Outpatient Medical Clinic. Upon learning of her interest in criminal justice populations, she was invited to participate on the Alabama Reentry Council and subsequently elected as the chairperson of their Healthcare and Rehabilitation Working Group. Dr. Redmond was also elected to the Jefferson County Board of Health for a 5 year term, commencing in January 2013. Recently, Dr. Redmond received funding to participate in the Transitions Clinic Network, a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) funded initiative to provide transitional health care services to ex-offenders in Jefferson County.
