Tammy Pickens is March 2013 Employee of the Month

Tammy Pickens has been selected as thTammyPickense recipient of the Department of Medicine Employee of the Month award for March 2013.  Mr. Harrold McDermott, Executive Administrator, and Mr. Keith Marks, Chief Administrative Officer, notified Tammy and joined Dr. Lisa Willett in congratulating her for receiving this honor.   Tammy is a Program Administrator II in the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program. Her passion for the Department of Medicine and UAB as a whole are obvious through her interaction with and dedication to the Internal Medicine residents.

Tammy consistently goes above and beyond in all of her responsibilities.  This is evident during interview season when she arrives early and leaves late to ensure that residency applicants are well informed and shown what makes UAB such a special place to train and work.  The same work ethic is evident year round. Tammy treats those around her with courtesy and respect.  She is dedicated to quality in all that she does and will spend extra time to be sure that the littlest detail is dealt with.

Please join us in congratulating Tammy Pickens. Mark your calendars for her award reception that will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in West Pavilion, Conference Room E.
