The goals of this research program pillar are to conduct interdisciplinary research addressing the development of disease over the life-course, disease prevention, and disease management. ProjectsCurrent project areas include osteoporosis epidemiology and treatment, osteoarthritis epidemiology, CVD/risk factor epidemiology and prevention, lifestyle interventions to treat erectile dysfunction, predictors of genitourinary disorders, a Women’s Health Initiative study of memory, and sleep disorders in elderly men and their effect on development of CVD and cognitive decline. FacultyFaculty in this research pillar are physician scientists with a secondary research focus on the life-course and aging. |


Please join us in congratulating Dr. Gareth Dutton on his appointment as Chair of the Obesity Theme for the American Psychological Association’s Annual Convention. The convention will be held in Orlando, Florida August 2 – 5, 2012, and sessions in the obesity track include, “Contributors to Obesity: Exploring the Roads Less Traveled,” by Dr. David Allison, “Transforming Systems to Reduce Childhood Obesity,” and several others.
