The following is an overview of our clinical training:

Mandatory rotations:

Endocrine Fellows are required to participate for the duration of their training in the following three weekly, half-day, outpatient clinics:

• Endocrine Fellows Continuity Clinic, The Kirklin Clinic
• VA Endocrinology Clinic
• Thyroid Ultrasound/FNA Biopsy Clinic

In addition, our fellows are asked to rotate at some point in time during their training through the following services/clinics:

• Inpatient Endocrinology Consult Service
• Endocrinology Faculty Clinics, The Kirklin Clinic
• Multidisciplinary Comprehensive Diabetes Clinic, The Kirklin Clinic
• HIV-Endocrinology Clinic
• Neurosurgical Pituitary Disorders Clinic

Elective rotations:

Our fellows are provided with multiple and flexible opportunities for elective rotations which can be taken at any point during their training; here are some of the most popular:

• Nuclear Medicine, UAB
• Pediatric Endocrinology, Children's of Alabama
• Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
• Osteoporosis Clinic
• Nutrition/ Weight Reduction Clinic
• Laboratory Medicine
• High-Risk Obstetrics
