Dr. Sugandha (also known as "Dr. Peter") is an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology. He completed a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery at Madras University in India. He completed a fellowship in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Christian Medical College in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. From 2000 through 2004 he was a Conslutant in the Department of Gastroenterology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, where he also became an Assistant Professor. In 2005 he took an appointment as a Staff Gastroenterologist at University Hospital of Basel in Basel, Switzerland, until he was recruited in 2008 to work at UAB. Dr. Sugandha is a hospitalist and clinician specializing in treating Barrett's Esophagus. |
