When do you accept applications? What is the deadline for applications?

  • We accept applications via ERAS from July 15th through July 31st. No applications will be accepted after July 31st.

Are there any specific USMLE score requirements?

  • USMLE score is considered but a specific score has not been made a requirement

Application Submission Requirements (please note: we review all applications via ERAS; we will not accept applications via email or other means)

  1. Current CV (updated within 3 months)
  2. Medical School Diploma and transcripts
  3. Medical School Dean’s Letter
  4. Three (3) total Letters of Recommendation (including former program directors)
  5. Certificate OR verification of expected completion date from IM residency training
  6. Must be eligible for Alabama Medical License and Alabama Controlled Substance Certificate
  7. Must be eligible for Federal DEA registration
  8. Valid ECFMG Certificate (IMG only)

When do you interview for potential fellowships applicants?

  • We interview applicants in September and October.

Do you participate in a Match program?

  • Yes, we participate in the National Registry Match Program (NRMP).

Do you accept International Medical Graduates?

  • Yes, we accept International Medical Graduates.

Do you sponsor H1B and J1 Visas?

  • Yes.

Do you offer an advanced 4th year of fellowship?

  • We are not currently offering an advanced fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy; however, we are offering a fellowship position in transplant hepatology.
