The University of Alabama School Of Medicine presents RIME Week. The main goal is to promote teaching skills in medical education, foster curriculum innovation, and showcase scholarship and research findings in medical education for the 21st century.

RIME Week 2013
This workshop will introduce educators to the essential components of TBL, including the design and implementation of a module. The workshop will be conducted in TBL format and will provide examples of the application of TBL in medical education while immersing attendees in the TBL process.
This workshop will focus on educational topics pertinent to the SOM undergraduate medical education curriculum, including discussions of active learning, vertical and horizontal education, learning objectives and assessment, and simulation, to name a few. SOM preclinical course directors, clerkship directors, and theme leaders (anatomy, pharmacology, geriatrics, ethics, etc.) are invited to attend.
