How to Apply
We accept applications for fellowship spots through ERAS. Match Day is in December through the NRMP.
Applications will be processed through ERAS (the Electronic Residency Application Service from the Association of American Medical Colleges). For more information, please follow this link to visit their website.
We require: three letters of recommendation, including one from the internal medicine residency director, a copy of the medical school transcript, and a copy of the Dean's letter.
International medical graduates must also hold a valid Standard Certificate of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). This program sponsors J-1 and H-1B visas. Applications will not be reviewed until all required documents are received.
Fellows must have a valid, unrestricted Alabama Medical License, Alabama Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate before they begin their fellowship at UAB.
We general conduct interviews in August and September. Interview requests will be sent via e-mail to the address applicants provide in their ERAS application.
