Alan Baggett, MD, FACP

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Baggett specializes in inpatient and outpatient internal medicine. He joins the faculty with extensive experience in graduate medical education.

 



 Dr. Centor


Robert Centor, MD, MACP

Professor-Emeritus, General Internal Medicine

Dr. Centor is a nationally recognized physician and served as our Regional Dean from 2004 to 2016. He has received numerous awards such as Ellen Gregg Ingalls/UAB National Alumni Society Award for Lifetime Achievement in Teaching and The Robert J. Glaser Award that recognizes a member for outstanding contributions to research, leadership, and mentoring in generalism in medicine from the Society of General Internal Medicine.

He is known for his research and teaching along with his involvement with the ACP (Chair - Emeritus Board of Regents) & SGIM (past President). He continues to work as an attending in our department as well as work at the VA in Birmingham.

He is an invaluable asset to our program as residents and students alike thoroughly enjoy his love for teaching.

Khushdeep Chahal, MD, FACP

Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Khushdeep Chahal is a graduate of our program, Class of 2014. He is a gifted teacher who thoroughly enjoys his time spent with residents and medical students. He is highly sought after to work with and is a great addition to our Program.

Chair & Professor of Medicine

Dr. Corman has mentored hundreds of students, residents and faculty over the past decades. Her passion for medicine and her wisdom her an invaluable part of our Program.









Humphrey

William Humphrey, MD

Director, Critical Care Service

Dr. Humphrey coordinates and implements the didactic and experiential component of Critical Care Medicine for each level of training, and participates in the evaluation and promotion committee and other committees of the residency program. He is a proven teacher with awards during his residency.







Ibrahim Farrah


Farrah Ibrahim, MD, FACP, Program Director
Associate Professor of Medicine


Dr. Ibrahim directs the program and is responsible for curriculum development, new educational initatives, and compliance with the ACGME core comptencies. She is also responsible for the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, evaluation, and advancement of residents.

Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Montgomery is the Faculty Director in the ambulatory clinic. She is a valuable preceptor for the continuity clinic.

Dr. Shah is a part-time faculty member who works in the ambulatory clinic. She is a valuable preceptor for the continuity clinic.







Yedla Parekha

 

Parekha Yedla, MD, FACP

Associate Professor of Medicine

Dr. Yedla serves as the clerkship director in IM for the UAB Huntsville Campus. She is the point faculty for training current our residents how to teach effectively. She is an outstanding teacher and hospitalist, and has won numerous awards for her teaching.

Taylor Steuber, Pharm.D.

Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy

Dr. Steuber is a clinical pharmacy specialist with the UAB Division of Internal Medicine in Huntsville, Alabama. A member of American College of Clinical Pharmacy and American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Dr. Steuber specializes in inpatient medicine.

Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy

Dr. Wright joined the Auburn faculty in 2008 and practices at the UAB School of Medicine in Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Wright’s professional areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, infectious disease and medication adherence.
