Research Interests: Dr. Bärbel (Barb) Rohrer has worked on retinal degeneration and protection for ~20 years. Her current areas of expertise and clinical/scientific interests include the role of complement activation in age-related macular degeneration, as-well-as mechanisms of degeneration/neuroprotection in retinitis pigmentosa, targeting mitochondrial metabolism.
