Research interests

Dr. Willig is a registered dietitian who investigates chronic disease treatment and prevention in patients with HIV and TB. Her work focuses on outcomes of nutrition and exercise interventions on inflammation and obesity risk, and the comparative effectiveness of these interventions in preventing cardiometabolic disease. Dr. Willig also investigates the health effects of malnutrition and body fat changes in Zambian patients living with HIV/TB.
