The UAB XRT facility offers expertise and assistance in the following research capabilities:

• DICOM file manipulation in MatLab (Richard Popple)
• Deformable image registration (X. Wu)

Hardware

• Phillips 4D CT scanner – used for radiation simulation
• Varian Aquity Flat panel conventional simulator
• Tomotherapy HiArt – Megavoltage helical CT imager used for intensity modulated radation therapy
• BrainLab Exac Trac Optical stereoscopic imager – used to track patient tumor motion during radiation therapy
• Varian linacs (3) with digital flat panel on-board imager capable of cone beam CT, orthogonal digital images
