Abstract Guidelines

We are now accepting abstracts for poster or oral presentation online. The abstracts should include: your title, authors, and be less than 250 words in length. Eligibility - Participants must be currently mentored by Microbiology Faculty with a primary or secondary appointment and considered in pre or postdoctoral training stage of career. Traditionally all trainees past their first year are expected to send in an abstract for a poster or oral presentation. The submission deadline for abstracts is October 1st.

• Presentation of Hypothesis
• Appropriateness of Methods
• Validity of Results Related to Stated Hypothesis
• Appropriateness – Importance of Conclusions
• Format and Organization
• Responses to Questions
• Innovation: Ideas/Methods/Conclusions

Oral Presentations will be 10 minutes in length, with five minutes of questions and answers.

Posters should be no larger than 36” x 48”.  Please do not have posters printed until after you have been notified that your abstract has been selected for poster presentation.
