Peritoneal Dialysis Academy

The purpose of PDA is to provide the opportunity for Nephrology Fellows to become familiar and comfortable with peritoneal dialysis concepts by didactic lectures, hands on workshops, and interactive problem sessions. Ultimately, this will empower a patient with a dialysis option.

In an effort to improve Nephrology training in PD, the University of Alabama has hosted PDA for the last ten years.   The program has been endorsed by the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and is offered to all Nephrology Fellows/Programs in the United States.  It is an intense three-day course which includes didactic lectures from renowned PD experts, interactive problem sessions, and hands-on workshops.  In the past, the program has been well received by PDA faculty and participants alike.  This year, we anticipate more than 30 participants.  Fellows located in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Tennessee have already registered.

This years PDA will be held January 28-30, 2015.
Information will be posted as it becomes available.
