A physician's referral is required to see a neurologist at UAB (patient must be at least age 17). The physician can be your family doctor or another neurologist or specialist who has recommended that you see a UAB Neurologist. The UAB Neurology outpatient clinic is located on the 5th floor of The Kirklin Clinic located at 2000 6th Avenue South.

If you are not sure you need to see a neurologist OR need help determining which of our specialists you should see, you may also call UAB HealthFinder. Depending on your medical problems, you may be directed to a neurologist who specializes in Nerve or Muscle disorders, Epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Stroke, Alzheimer's disease, or other specific areas of neurology.
