Welcome to the Division of Memory Disorders and Behavioral Neurology at UAB. Our specialists in the UAB Memory Disorders Clinic provide state-of-the-art care for patients with a variety of neurological disorders affecting cognition and behavior, including age-related memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Parkinson’s-related cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, Creutzfeld-Jakob disease, and other related conditions.
The Memory Disorders Clinic is one aspect of UAB’s commitment to excellence in caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions. Our physicians work closely with the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center to conduct clinical research, including clinical trials of potential new treatments, and scientists in our Center for Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics (CNET) are engaged in laboratory research to understand the causes of these disorders and develop the next generation of therapies.
