One of our unique strengths in this program is the confidence with which our residents’ view and interpret image findings. Each Monday morning from 8-9am, all of our residents, a few faculty members and students attend a conference with a senior neuroradiologist. At this conference, we present cases that are good examples of classic findings, elusive diagnoses, or have image findings that are atypical for the discovered diagnosis. Our neuroradiology attending walks us through the various sequences and studies and we discuss implications of the various findings on imaging and potential diagnosis, further tests or procedures, and potential treatment together as a group. It is a great opportunity for our residents to combine clinical evaluation with discerning image viewing under the guidance of attendings from radiology and our own department.
