The pediatric neurosurgery team at Children's of Alabama is one of the largest and busiest pediatric neurosurgical services in North America. All aspects of pediatric care are performed at Children's of Alabama. The team is composed of five full-time fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeons, a pediatric neurosugery fellow, three UAB neurosurgery resident physicians, four full-time nurses (three nurse practitioners and two nurse clinicians), and three full-time office support staff.

UAB's pediatric neurosurgery program is comprised of the only fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeons in the state of Alabama, as well as the only neurosurgeons recognized by the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of neurosurgical care to our patients and their families through clinical and surgical expertise, compassion, understanding, and education.

UAB's pediatric neurosurgeons, located at Children's of Alabama, are currently accepting new patients. Referrals are made through your primary care physician (PCP), who will coordinate the transfer of medical records and imaging studies.
