Sotile to lecture on faculty resilience as part of UAB Medicine Leadership Week

Faculty in the UAB School of Medicine are invited to attend the keynote lecture sessions for UAB Medicine Leadership Week.

Wayne Sotile, Ph.D., founder of The Sotile Center for Resilience and the Center for Physician Resilience, in Davidson, N.C., will present the keynote address, titled “Choosing Resilience: The Key to Thriving Through Change.” Sotile will discuss how provider happiness affects patient outcomes, and will give faculty practical tools to assess themselves for burnout and to cope with stress.

The keynote sessions will be held:

  • 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 25 in Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium
  • 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 25 in Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium
  • 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday, April 25 at in Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium
The keynote sessions are open to all faculty. Seating at each session is limited to 300 participants, so those interested should register online through the UAB Learning System.
