umphreyHeidi Umphrey, M.D., M.S., assistant professor of Radiology and Chief of Breast Imaging, recently received the AUR GE Radiology Research Academic Fellowship Award, a sought-after award presented to junior-level faculty to help develop their academic careers through clinical research training, mentoring and networking.

Since their creation in 1992, the fellowship awards, co-sponsored by the Association of University Radiologists and General Electric Co., work to strengthen the research interest of radiologist-investigators by broadening their opportunities for continuing scholarship and to foster original clinical and health services research in technology assessment, health and economic outcome methods, and decision analysis.
