McMahon to share vision for the Graduate School

Lori McMahon streamLori McMahon, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School at UAB, will present her vision for excellence and innovation in graduate education noon April 13 in the Lister Hill Library Edge of Chaos.

McMahon will discuss professional and career-development initiatives and collaborative efforts for recruitment and outreach with various academic units to attract highly qualified students.

UAB's Graduate School offers doctoral programs in 40 areas, post-gradaute education specialist programs in eight areas and master’s level programs in 51 areas, spanning across the disciplines.

U.S. News & World Report ranks a number of UAB schools and programs among the nation’s best — eight in the top 20 — in its 2017 edition of “Best Graduate Schools.” 

McMahon was named dean of the Graduate School in August 2015.
