UAB to host Scientific Symposium on Precision Medicine, Neurosciences and Infectious Diseases

Screen Shot 2018 06 06 at 2.12.45 PMUAB's School of Medicine and Southern Research will host the Scientific Symposium on Precision Medicine, Neurosciences and Infectious Diseases Friday, July 27. The Symposium will be held at the UAB Alumni House from 8 a.m.-5p.m. This educational event will cover various areas of focus and provide those in attendance the opportunity to partake in lively discussions and hear from the Alabama Drug Discovery Alliance.

Two directors and a chair from Southern Research will join the School of Medicine’s Matthew Might, Ph.D.; David G. Standaert, M.D., Ph.D.; and Jeanne Marrazzo, M.D., MPH, in leading the sessions in their areas of expertise. The symposium will close with a panel discussion moderated by Victor Darley-Usmar, Ph.D., professor for the Department of Pathology, and will allow those in attendance to dive further into topics discussed throughout the event.
