SOM faculty named among Edge of Chaos Scholars

Written by
Thirteen faculty members from the School of Medicine were invited to join the inaugural Edge of Chaos Scholars program, bringing together 26 faculty members from across UAB’s campus to deal with “wicked problems” — problems that defy easy or obvious solutions.

Faculty were invited based on their academic standing, accomplishments and their innovative perspective on the development of creativity and intellectual capacity on campus. Throughout the coming academic year, they will present lectures on a range of topics — with an emphasis on innovation and interdisciplinary thinking.
