Do you know anyone who advances the frontiers of science or otherwise made a significant contribution to the health of people or the academic health center through education, research or public service?
If so, nominate them by Aug. 26 for the 2015 Distinguished Faculty Lecturer, the highest award in the academic health center. The recipient will receive a $5,000 prize and deliver a keynote speech at a reception to be held in their honor in the fall.
All full-time, part-time, or emeritus faculty with a primary or secondary appointment in the schools of Dentistry, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry and Public Health and Departments of the Joint Health Sciences are eligible.
Nominations packets should include a brief letter of nomination and a current curriculum vitae of the nominee, preferably in an electronic format, and be emailed to Linda Piteo at lapiteo@uab.edu. Hard copy nominations may be submitted through campus mail to AB 374, +0103.
